Easy Text To HTML Converter provides fast and easy conversion of Text Files (in *.txt, *.rtf formats)
and Text Blocks pasted from Clipboard to HTML or XHTML formats.
During the conversion Text To HTML Converter adds to source text ONLY basic HTML markup,
without bloating it with secondary formatting elements. Therefore you can easily continue working
on it in any external HTML-editor without having to replace existing formatting elements with new ones.
The conversion is being performed in four different modes, placed on separate tabs of the main window: ‘Single File’, ‘Files List’, ‘Text Block’ and ‘Table to HTML’. This allows to set conversion options matching to selected mode. Below are described features of each mode according to tabs names:
I have used this software for about as long as the company has been going. it is great for web sites
where you have say a listing of 60 part files all uploaded to file-hosting sites like rapidshare.
but due to forum or web site rules the poster cannot make the links click-able so this does it for you!
you just copy all the links to the part files to a text file then load them up with this app and within seconds
you have a list of hot click-able download links (instead of copy pasting each link into Firefox 1 at a time)
the software author has been in touch with us over this review and explained i have something wrong.
we have decided after careful review that they are right and we are wrong on one of the setting/options
so the suggestions we give about templates actually exists so we retract our early suggestions.
We have now decided since we found the template option to increase the ratings for this app from 3 to 4

When you first enter the web site to download this application you notice straight away its a well
recognized professional built website. the design is great and very easy on the eyes.
Everything seems to be laid out so there is no confusion as where to go to start the download off.
soon as we clicked the section that contained the application you have a wide selection of choices
where to download the application from ( we suggest downloading directly from their website.
there is 2 versions to choose from (.zip) and the (Setup installer.exe) since the installer doesn’t
contain any ad ware or toolbar trying to hijack your web browser the best option is the installer.
The Application is less than 300kb in size!!! so it installs super fast with no junk.
Below is the screenshot of the main menu screen your presented with on the app loading.
As you can see above very nice and basic layout but with all options visible (this we like) i cannot stand
features that make an application so great hiding away lurking in some option/setting menu which many
people might well miss.. to use this application the easy way and most simple but effective way is to
copy all the content into either notepad or wordpad save the content as “test run.txt/.rtf”
This is just so you can test out the features and get a good feel how this application works for you
First you need to import the test run file (you do that like the example above) then in the box below
you set where you want the output destination to be. (where the .html file will be generated/created)
(remember you can tell each file you input to be generated at any output destination you want)
Soon as your ready (even with 100000′s of links per line on your text document) when you hit the little
green triangle button a lime green HTML page will be displayed and you can now see each line in
your text document is now in HTML hyperlink format (just clicking each link will load that in your browser)
it’s so simple but so effective personally i love this application its great and turns hours of copy and paste
into sheer seconds. (we have yet to find a better program that does everything this little app does)
Second Option (File List)
Now the information on their website is completely confusing when it comes to what this does so
i will explain this in terms you people will understand 
since this company seems to know nothing
about how to explain things to the regular joe public (they really need to re-look at the way they explain)
There is a movie that just come out which is 700mb in size the poster has posted these in 100mb
part files to rapidshare.com (so the name of this film for instance is Zero.Frost.DVDrip)

You would put all these links into a text document and name it “zero frost.txt”
Now normally you would import zero frost.txt into the converter to convert to HTML
so all the links would be hot click able. but what if you had 10 movies to download?
You would get very confused putting 200 + rapidshare links into 1 single text file
then converting that text file to HTML. (now you have a massive list of 200 part files to click)
This is where File Lists come in! you would put all your links per movie into single text files
so all part files for zero frost would go into Zero frost.txt all part files for transmorphers would
go into transmorphers.txt and so on.. until you had 10 text documents for 10 separate films.
Now you just load each text document into Files List (you will see each document per line)
Now when you hit the green triangle button you will get 10 separate HTML pages generated.
each HTML page will contain just the links for that specific movie title.
Now you can go through downloading each part file for a movie until all part files for that movie is done.
you can then delete the HTML file (so you don’t get mixed up) and move onto the next movie and so on.
this feature is great else you’d have 10 movies and a 1000 part files to click though all in 1 HTML file.
And like me you would end up clicking the same part files over and over again wasting rapidshare credits.
Third Option (Text Block)
This option wouldn’t be for the general user it just takes a long paragraph of txt and turns it
into HTML paragraph’s (adds in HTML code so the web browser can format it correctly)
if you’re not a web designer or you don’t know HTML language this feature wont be any use to you.
Last Option (Text to Table)
This option wouldn’t be for the general user it just takes a load of text and turns it into tables
you won’t understand what this does unless you’re a web designer or understand HTML language
but for the web designer this feature takes a lot of hassle out of coding data tables for HTML web pages.
if you’re not a web designer then i wouldn’t worry too much about this feature it wont be any use to you.
If you are a web designer or do understand HTML then this is great it really is all you do is type line by line
everything you want to be displayed in different table data/table rows hit the green triangle and in the box below you will get the HTML code for your above text you can find an example below.

now if you go digging a little further you will come across even more options
See the little Cog icon on the top right hand side of the window?
Clicking this gets you into the options menu of the application (screen shot below)
This is where it now gets interesting our early suggestions was that you cannot change
or create your own HTML output template but looking a little deeper it seems you can do just this!
this is why we have now decided to increase the rating from a 3 star to a 4 star program.
In the screen shot below (I’ve clicked options selected formatting tab)
as you can see there is a wide selection of options you can choose from here.
if you are just looking at creating or selecting a different template for the output HTML file.
then here is the steps to take (for the first step no HTML/CSS knowledge is needed)
1.) At the bottom it says “select template” to do this click the … dots icon.
this will then open up the templates directory from here all you do is select one of
the pre-configured templates that has already been made available for you to use.
There is about 20 different styles and designs for you to choose from so this app
does support creating your own theme or template just takes a little CSS knowledge.
2.) To create your own template (css knowledge is mandatory) open one of the templates
and edit where needed to match your website. If you do not know or understand how to
write cascading style-sheets then just continue to use the mass amount of pre-configured ones.
we have covered the main features now of this application and we won’t bore you with
different option settings if you want to know and see all the settings then grab a copy
from the authors web site and have a good play around with it like we did . its well worth
giving up an hour or two, to get to fully know and understand this application inside and out.
If you’re looking for other alternatives than this application you wont really find much to be honest.
we have looked far and wide and only found this software to contain all the features we need.

This software does everything it needs so there is nothing more we can suggest for the author
we have noticed there has been no real updates since Version 3.0.0 (May 24, 2006)
We feel this software needs to be looked after and cared for as at the moment it’s nearly 2012
which means for 6 years this company has not done a single update! we urge them to keep the
software under the freeware license but really work on making the interface more 21st century.
We really have nothing more to say we thought the application didn’t have the feature for users
creating their own templates but we was mistaken now we have taken another look we see users
can indeed not only swap templates but create their own with a little knowledge of style sheets.
over all it’s a great piece of software it really is. and we our self’s will continue to keep using it.
and we want to thank the software authors for keeping this a freeware application for the past 6 years.
